Science Club Wins 2nd Place

The FDU Science Club won second place in the American Chemical Society North Jersey Section Chem Expo at Liberty Science Center in October 2016.

Congratulations to the members of the FDU Science Club, who won 2nd place in the 22nd American Chemical Society North Jersey Section Chem Expo representing Fairleigh Dickinson University at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, New Jersey. In celebration of National Chemistry Week, the theme was “Solving Mysteries Through Chemistry,” exploring the science behind fibers and forensics. FDU Science Club performed two demonstrations to children ages 6-12 as well as ACS judges. One focused on identifying fingerprints and another on blood typing – in the kid friendly themes of green “Alien blood” and fingerprinting a cookie culprit among loved Disney characters.
